You
will be picked up from the airport in Jakarta (or upon request from your
hotel) and go straight to Bogor, where you can take a rest after
your long journey to Indonesia. In the afternoon or the next
morning
you can easily visit the world famous Botanical Garden or you can make the
more adventurous trip to Mount Salak, where you will meet the friendly
mountain villagers and their special way of life. One of these
days you can visit the Gong factory where you can see how they manually
make the instruments for a gamelan orchestra. You stay 2 nights in
Bogor. |

Via
the
Puncak Pass you are going to Garut (2 nights.)
where the hot springs are. In your room you will find a
huge bath, the hot water is piped in directly from the hot spring.
From Garut you can make an excursion to the vulcano
Papandayan and climb up to the crater. In the beach resort
Pangandaran
(2) you can take a break from travelling or make a (motor)cycle tour
or the Green
Canyon tour; travelling up an emerald green river through the forest,
ending at the canyon where you can take a dive. And
of course enjoying the delicious seafood which is everywhere avaible here.
From Pangandaran you are dropped off at Kalipucang to make a boat
trip across the Segara Anakan river to
Cilacap.

In
Cilacap you will be picked up again and brought to mountain village Baturaden
(2 n.), situated at the foot of mount Slamet.
At Wonosobo (1) you will see the beautiful
cultivated Dieng Plateau. In cultural
Yogyakarta (2 n.) you make a city tour and visit
the Borobudur and the Prambanan temples. In Yogyakarta you can
attend a performance of the Ramayana- ballet. Leaving Yogyakarta
you spent one night in Sarangan, a village situated at a
craterlake. In Malang (1) you
will still sense a bit of colonial times before you leave for Ngadisari (1)
at the Bromo. Very early the next morning you make the trip up to a
viewing point and see the spectacular sunrise at the crater.

The
last days in Java you spent in
Kalibaru (2) , where you have the opportunity to visit coffee,- cacao,-
clove- and rubber plantations. The last week you travel through Bali. From Java
you cross over with a ferry to Bali and go straight to Lovina (2). Before
sunrise, you can make a boattrip to spot dolphins who often appears here. In Ubud (2),
the cultural centre of Bali, you can make trips through
the surrounding, your guide will advise you. At last you will
spent some relaxing days at the white beaches of Kuta or Sanur (3) .
During the whole trip you are in touch with the local
population and will visit places where you would not have come so easily
when travelling alone or travelling with a big organized tour.
